Custom Flame Awards Etched and Printed to Order

A flame award is a recognition piece shaped like a rising flame or torch, mounted on a base and marked with your artwork. On this page the flames are cut from optical crystal, shaped from art glass, or cast in stone and metal. Eleven of the twelve designs carry a deep etch, and the gold plated cylinder design takes a screen printed imprint instead.

Start with where the piece will sit, then match the size to it. The 5.5" x 6" freestanding crystal flame suits a desk or a small shelf, while the flame on three pillars at 4" x 13" overall and the orange art glass torch, which reaches 16.5 inches tall, are built for a presentation table. Then check the imprint area, because the biggest etch panel recorded here is 4.5" x 7.5" on the granite front and the smallest is 1" x 1.5" on a base.

Recorded sizes on this page include 5.5" x 6", 5.5" x 9.75", 2.5" x 11", 7" x 11", 4.25" x 12.75" and 4" x 13", and the orange art glass torch reaches 16.5 inches tall. The crystal flame with the light blue inset comes in two sizes, 5" x 7.5" and 6.25" x 9.75". Not every design lists an overall measurement, so ask us and we will confirm the dimensions of the piece you want before you order.

Five of the twelve designs use optical crystal, with color choices such as clear, cobalt blue, black and a light blue inset. Three use art glass, including carnelian orange, amber and blue cathedral glass on a starfire base. The remaining four use stone and metal, such as black granite with Botticino marble and starfire, cast Stonecast on an ebony crystal base, cast metal with marble and stone, and a 24k gold plated torch on a gold plated cylinder.

Deep etch is the method on eleven of the twelve designs, cutting the artwork into the piece instead of printing it on the surface. Etch fields run from 1" x 1.5" up to 4.5" x 7.5" depending on the design, and four of them include one color fill, so the cut lines ship already filled. The Eternal Flame Award also offers laser engraving on its crystal column, from 1" x 2" to 1" x 3".

No. The Flame Award on Cylinder is screen printed, not engraved. Its imprint is one color in one location on one side, at 2.25" x 2.25", on a 24k gold plated sculpted torch and matching cylinder base that stands 2.5" x 11" overall. Pick one of the crystal, glass or stone designs if you want a cut and etched mark instead.

Yes, and on most of these designs the logo and the wording share one field. The included imprint is a single location on one side on the designs that record it, which is why the larger etch panels suit a mark plus several lines of text. The Triple Flame Award and the Optical Flame Raised on Three Pillars offer an optional second etch position, so a mark can sit apart from the wording there. We send a visual proof of the layout before we decorate anything.

A crystal flame award on this page is cut from optical crystal, clear or with a color accent, and holds its deep etch on a face, on the back or on the base depending on the design. An art glass flame award is shaped in color: the amber design is fused and slumped by hand, so its finish, color and pattern vary slightly from unit to unit. Etch placement differs too, with the blue cathedral glass flame etched 3.5" x 5" on the front and the amber design etched 1.8" x 1.8" on its base.

Several designs offer a choice. The Spirit of the Flame Award comes in black or clear, the cobalt flame comes in blue or clear, the Amber Blaze comes in amber, clear or orange, the Stonecast Serpentine Flame is finished in gold or pearl, and the Telluric Flame Award offers two finish options for its spiral arms.
