Flame Awards Cut, Cast and Fused in Twelve Designs
Twelve flame awards sit on this page, and every one of them shares the same rising silhouette. What separates them is the material the flame is made from, the base that holds it up, and the way your artwork is applied. Each design carries a minimum order quantity of one, so a single presentation piece and a full run of matched awards start from the same catalog.
How each flame is built
Some flames are one piece and some are assembled. The Freestanding Crystal Flame with Front-to-Back Bevels is a single optical crystal upright at 5.5" x 6", with deep tapering bevels curving between the front and back faces, so it needs no separate base. Others lift the flame off its stand: the Optical Flame Raised on Three Pillars holds an optical flame above the base on three columns and measures 4" x 13" overall, while the Flame Award on Cylinder sets a 24k gold plated sculpted torch on a matching gold plated cylinder, 2.5" x 11" overall.
Materials on this page
Five of the twelve designs are cut from optical crystal, with color choices such as clear, cobalt blue, black and a light blue inset. Three are art glass, including carnelian orange, amber and blue cathedral glass. The other four bring in stone and metal, including the Triple Flame Award in Granite, Botticino Marble and Starfire, which sets black granite, cream Botticino marble and a clear starfire flame on one base at 7" x 11" overall, the Stonecast Serpentine Flame, cast and mounted on an ebony optical crystal base, and the Telluric Flame Award, which builds its base from cast metal, marble and stone.
Decoration and ordering
Deep etch is the method on eleven of the twelve designs, cutting the artwork into the piece rather than printing it on the surface. Etch fields run from 1" x 1.5" on the Telluric base up to 4.5" x 7.5" across the Triple Flame granite front, and four designs include one color fill. The Eternal Flame Award also offers laser engraving on its crystal column, and the gold plated cylinder is screen printed instead of etched, in one color at 2.25" x 2.25". The included imprint is one location on one side on the designs that record it, and the Triple Flame Award and the Optical Flame Raised on Three Pillars offer an optional second etch position.
