Often ordered alongside acrylic plaques for the same event

Acrylic is the lightest material in this range and the easiest to ship in quantity. It suits recognition programmes where you are ordering a run rather than a single piece, and it takes full-color printing as readily as engraving.

Clear, black and full color

Clear acrylic and lucite are the most common here, including the Acrylic Plaque Signet and the Halley Plaque in lucite acrylic, offered in small and medium. Black acrylic is used where the text needs to sit against a solid ground, as on the Black Acrylic Wall Plaque with Florentine Border. Full-color printed versions include the Full Color Acrylic Plaque with Securing Aluminum Accents.

Floating and mounted panels

Several items hold the acrylic panel off a backing board so it appears to float and casts a shadow. The Magnet-Mounted Floating Acrylic Plaque on Rosewood uses magnets rather than visible fixings, and the Acrylic Plaque with Brass Channels is offset from a piano finish board.

Sizes

The Acrylic Wall Plaque is stocked in 4" x 5", 5" x 7" and 8" x 10". Other items list their own sizes on the product page.

Engraving and printing

Acrylic can be engraved, which leaves a frosted mark, or printed in full color, which suits multi-color logos. Some items combine the two with a printed plate secured by aluminum accents. Tell us which you want when you send artwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between acrylic and lucite?

Lucite is a brand name for acrylic, so the two describe the same material. Items in this range list either term, and the Halley Plaque is recorded as lucite acrylic. There is no difference in how they are engraved, printed or mounted.

Can acrylic plaques be printed in full color?

Yes. Acrylic takes full-color printing well, which suits multi-color logos and detailed artwork that engraving cannot reproduce. The Full Color Acrylic Plaque with Securing Aluminum Accents is one example. Engraving is the alternative and leaves a frosted mark.

What sizes do acrylic plaques come in?

The Acrylic Wall Plaque is stocked in 4" x 5", 5" x 7" and 8" x 10". Other items in this range list their own sizes, and several such as the Halley Plaque come in small and medium versions. Sizes are on each product page.

How do floating acrylic plaques mount?

A floating panel is held off its backing board so it casts a shadow, using stand-offs, brass channels or magnets depending on the item. The Magnet-Mounted Floating Acrylic Plaque on Rosewood uses magnets so no fixings are visible from the front.

Is acrylic cheaper than glass or crystal?

Acrylic generally costs less than glass or crystal at a comparable size, and it is lighter, which reduces shipping cost on a large order. It is the usual choice for recognition programmes ordering a run of pieces. Request a quote and we will price it against glass so you can compare.

Do acrylic plaques scratch?

Acrylic is softer than glass and marks more easily, so it is better suited to wall mounting than to handling. Keep it clean with a soft cloth rather than an abrasive one. If the piece will be handled often, glass or crystal will hold its finish longer.
