Description
The Polished Black Granite Award Block with Swappable Year - Summerland is a black granite service award cut from a solid stone block measuring 3 by 4 inches and 1 inch thick. Companies buy it for five-year, 10-year, 15-year, 20-year and 25-year work anniversaries to mark employee tenure milestones.
The Polished Black Granite Award Block with Swappable Year - Summerland puts its etching on one polished face. Milestone year and department art fill the space without competing with a border design. Deep etching cuts the design into the black granite, and one color fill highlights the numerals. The numerals read clearly from across a conference room. The block ships already engraved with the anniversary artwork. HR teams add it to five-year through 25-year service award programs without commissioning new art each round. Made in North America, the dense stone sits flat on a shelf or desk as a paperweight. It keeps that role long after the presentation ends. For a piece with more shine, explore the crystal awards collection instead. Recipients who prefer a photo display over etched stone can choose the silver metal photo frame instead. That frame swaps the stone block for a metal frame recipients fill with their own photograph.
Plan the presentation around a Summerland block that keeps each milestone year the center of attention.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a black granite service award used for?
A black granite service award marks employee work anniversaries at companies and organizations. Buyers choose the Summerland style when they want one design that works across several milestone years. HR departments often keep a few on hand for upcoming ceremonies.
How does this granite award compare with a crystal service award?
A black granite service award reads as a matte, formal stone rather than the sparkle of crystal awards. Buyers who want a display without glare often prefer granite over crystal. The crystal awards collection offers pieces with brighter light play for presentation tables.
What size is the black granite service award block?
A black granite service award measures 3 by 4 inches and is cut 1 inch thick. All five anniversary versions share this same block size. It sits flat on its own without a separate base.
What material is the Summerland granite award made from and how does it look?
A black granite service award is cut from solid stone with a polished surface. Light reflects softly off the granite rather than sparkling like glass or crystal. The matte black tone gives etched artwork strong contrast.
Where does the engraving go on this granite service award?
A black granite service award carries its engraving on the front face within a 2 by 3 inch area. Production uses deep etch decoration with a single color fill added to the recessed lines. That area holds the recipient's name, date and milestone year.
Is there a minimum order for the black granite service award?
A black granite service award has a minimum order of one unit for every anniversary version. Buyers can order a single block for one employee or several for a group ceremony. Each anniversary year ships as its own item.
How long does production take for this granite service award?
Production on a black granite service award runs 5 business days for every anniversary version. The record does not list a rush option for this item. Buyers planning a specific ceremony date should order with that lead time in mind.
What programs use this black granite service award?
Corporate anniversary programs are the main use for a black granite service award. Organizations also use it for recognition events tied to multiple tenure milestones. Any group that tracks employee tenure can build a program around it.
What affects the price of a black granite service award?
Price for a black granite service award depends on order quantity and any customization beyond the standard etch. We do not publish unit pricing here. Request a quote for your specific anniversary year and quantity.
How should you care for and display this granite award?
Care for a black granite service award by wiping the polished stone with a soft, dry cloth. Keep it away from abrasive cleaners that could dull the finish. The block stands on its own, so it displays well on a credenza, mantle or awards case.
