What is a black granite paperweight used for on a desk?

A black granite paperweight holds loose paper down and doubles as a recognition award on a desk. The triangle stands apex up on a flat base, so etched text faces the room. Companies give them for service anniversaries, safety milestones, and client thank-you gifts.

How large is this granite paperweight?

The triangle granite paperweight measures 4 inches wide and 1 inch thick. The etch window on the front face runs 3 inches wide by 2 inches tall. That footprint sits beside a monitor without taking over the desk.

What does one colorfill included mean on a granite paperweight?

One colorfill means the etched artwork on the granite paperweight is filled with a single color, usually white, so it reads against the dark stone. Without a fill, a deep etch on black granite shows only as a lighter gray. The fill comes with the standard deep etch decoration.

Can a logo be etched into black granite?

Yes, a logo can be deep etched into the black granite paperweight within a 3 by 2 inch area on the front. Large, bold shapes and heavy type hold their edges best, because the natural speckle in the stone breaks up fine hairlines. Send vector artwork so the art team can simplify thin details before etching.

How long does production take for a custom granite award?

Production of the custom granite paperweight takes 5 working days from artwork approval. The minimum order is one piece, so a single milestone gift is as simple to order as a run for a whole crew. Transit time is added after production.

Which industries order granite awards most often?

Manufacturing, construction, energy, and engineering firms order the granite paperweight most often. The stone suits safety records, project completions, and retirement gifts where a heavier material fits the setting. Real estate and financial offices also use them as closing gifts.

How should black granite be cleaned to protect the colorfill?

Clean a black granite paperweight with a damp soft cloth and dry it right away. Avoid abrasive pads and acidic cleaners, which can dull the polish and lift the colorfill out of the etch. Water and a mild soap handle fingerprints and desk dust.

What determines the cost of a custom granite paperweight?

The cost of a custom granite paperweight depends on the order quantity, the etch setup, and whether each piece carries a different name. One shared layout across the run keeps the setup work to a single file. Send your quantity and in-hands date for an exact quote.

Description

The triangle black granite paperweight is deep etched with one colorfill included, so a name reads bright against the dark stone instead of disappearing into a shallow gray engraving. Built for service awards and client desk gifts, it stands apex up on a flat base and weighs down loose paper.

Give one at a service anniversary and it sits on the desk as a marker, not a certificate that goes in a drawer. Polished black granite looks different from clear crystal on a shelf full of glass awards, which is why plant managers and construction firms choose it for safety milestones and project completions. The etch window on the front runs 3 by 2 inches, so bold type and a simple logo hold their shape while fine hairlines get lost in the speckle. Realtors hand these over at closing, and nonprofits give them to board members finishing a term. Standing 4 inches wide and 1 inch thick, the triangle holds a stack of paper on a windy job trailer desk.

Pair it with the Starfire granite Baranek award when one program needs a desk piece and a taller trophy in matching stone, so the two photograph as a set at the same ceremony. If you want a lighter option or a different profile for a large group, the full custom paperweight range covers crystal, wedge, and round shapes that sit at the same desk height.

Request a quote with your text and logo, and the art team will confirm the layout fits the 3 by 2 inch etch window. Orders run 5 working days from artwork approval, and the minimum is one piece.
