Description
A crystal hexagon award holds a six sided starfire panel, three quarters of an inch thick with polished beveled edges, upright in a wide clear base that tapers in at both ends. Engineering groups, chemical producers, and cooperative boards hand it over when the honor belongs to a structure rather than one name.
Partner summits, safety record milestones, plant commissioning ceremonies, and long service recognition all use the hexagon, since the shape reads as something engineered rather than decorative. Three sizes measure seven by seven and a half, eight by eight and a half, and nine and a quarter by nine and a half inches, each two inches deep and weighing around four pounds, which gives the largest real substance when it is lifted off a table. Nine finishes are offered, from starfire through amber, green, black, blue, red, sky blue, white, and prismatic. The etch window is generous, reaching seven inches square on the biggest panel. A second etch position with colorfill can also be added along the front of the base.
Somebody weighing a flat panel against a solid object usually opens the Custom Sphere Globe as well, since both belong to the Crystal Awards range. The hexagon gives a seven inch square field for a citation and a logo, while the sphere gives almost no flat surface at all. Programs that need to record several names on one piece land on the hexagon nearly every time, and the base carries a second line if the panel fills up.
Name a size and a finish, send the citation and a logo file, and PPI will come back with an etch proof for sign-off before the five working day production run begins.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the crystal hexagon award made from?
The crystal hexagon award uses a six sided starfire crystal panel three quarters of an inch thick, with polished bevels on every edge. The panel slots into a wide clear crystal base that tapers in at both ends. A faint green glow shows along the cut edges.
How large is the crystal hexagon award?
The crystal hexagon award is built in three sizes of 7 by 7.5, 8 by 8.5, and 9.25 by 9.5 inches. Each is 2 inches deep with the base fitted, and the packed weight is listed at 4.05 pounds. The hexagon proportions hold across all three.
Which finishes does the crystal hexagon award come in?
The crystal hexagon award comes in nine finishes covering starfire, amber, green, black, blue, red, sky blue, white, and prismatic. Prismatic breaks light into color across the panel, while starfire stays clear with a green edge. The bevel pattern is identical in every finish.
What engraving area does the crystal hexagon award allow?
The crystal hexagon award gives an etch field of 5, 6, or 7 inches square depending on the size chosen. A second position on the front of the base adds a strip up to 6.125 inches wide. We lay out both areas together on one proof.
Can the crystal hexagon award be printed in full color?
The crystal hexagon award takes VividPrint across the same panel area as the etch, and on the base strip as well. That suits a multi color brand mark that would lose its identity as a frosted engraving. We can also mix the two, with an etch on the panel and print on the base.
What kinds of organizations choose a hexagon award?
The crystal hexagon award is chosen mostly by engineering groups, chemical producers, cooperative boards, and manufacturers marking a safety record. A six sided outline reads as something engineered rather than decorative, which suits technical settings. Partner summits and plant commissioning ceremonies use it for the same reason.
How is a crystal hexagon award order priced?
The crystal hexagon award is priced from the size, finish, quantity, decoration method, and the number of etch positions used. The largest panel uses far more crystal than the smallest, and a second position adds machine time. Send the size and count and we will return a written quote.
