A plaque is the piece a company hands over when it wants the reason on the wall afterwards. We carry them for service anniversaries, retirements, safety milestones, donor walls and sponsor recognition, engraved with your logo and the names that go with it.
Choosing a material
Material is the first decision, and it drives both the look and the price. Wood is the largest part of this range and the most familiar: walnut, rosewood, bamboo and piano-finish boards carrying an engraved plate. Glass and crystal read cooler and more formal. Acrylic is the lightest option. Granite and marble are the heaviest, and we stock both genuine cut stone and wood boards with a stone-look plate.
Wood, and what "piano finish" means
Piano finish is a high-gloss lacquer over a wood board, not a species. It appears across this range on rosewood, walnut and black boards, including the Black Piano-Finish Award Plaque and the Rising Star Plaque. American Walnut and bamboo are stocked as solid boards.
Metal on wood, and solid metal
Most items described as metal plaques are a wood board carrying a brass or aluminum plate, which is the standard construction for recognition awards. A smaller group is metal throughout, such as the Full Color Dash Plaques in aluminum. Both are listed under Metal Plaques.
Engraving and imprint
Plates are laser engraved or screenprinted depending on the item, and several take a full-color sublimated plate instead. The Sublimated Plaques 8" x 6" and the Fairfield range print in full color. Engraving detail is recorded per product, so check the item page for the method and the imprint area.
