Description
A glass sail award cuts one flat panel with a straight left edge and a tall crescent curve on the right, its whole curved rim left rough and chipped. Regatta sponsors, sales teams and long service honorees take it home from awards nights where a piece that suggests movement suits the occasion better than a plain rectangle.
The sail stands 6 inches by 10 inches and drops into a rectangular glass base whose front edge is chipped in the same rough way, so the two pieces match rather than contrast. Deep etching covers 3.5 by 6 inches on the flat face, which holds a logo above three or four lines of wording without the type shrinking. The chipping is done by hand, so no two rims break exactly alike. Yacht clubs and rowing associations use it for regatta placings, while marketing agencies, logistics firms and engineering practices hand it over for project launches and service anniversaries. Each piece is packed one to a carton, so a single winner can be ordered on its own.
A buyer who wants the gift used every day rather than displayed once often compares this with the moreland clock and card holder, since a desk clock keeps working after the ceremony ends. Across the jade glass awards range the sail is the shape that reads as motion, so sailing clubs, growth targets and launch projects tend to pick it over a straight upright panel.
Send the wording and ask for an etch proof before anything is cut; production runs five working days from your approval, and the hand chipped rim gives each piece an edge no other one repeats.

Imprint area — will your logo fit?
Deep EtchThe imprint area on this product is 3-1/2 inches wide by 6 inches tall, printed by deep etch. Your artwork prints inside the dashed area below — nothing outside it prints. Products often look larger in a photo than the space you can actually print on.

Frequently Asked Questions
What shape is a glass sail award?
The glass sail award is cut as a flat sail, straight down the left edge and curving out to a tall crescent on the right. The entire curved edge is left rough and chipped rather than polished. That rough rim is what separates it from a plain curved panel.
How big is the glass sail award and its base?
The glass sail award measures 6 inches by 10 inches and stands in a rectangular base of the same glass. The base front is chipped in the same rough way as the sail edge. Together they read as one object rather than two.
Where does the engraving go on a glass sail award?
The glass sail award is deep etched on the flat face within an area of 3.5 by 6 inches. That holds a logo with three or four lines of wording under it at readable size. Send us vector artwork so the etch keeps thin strokes crisp.
Which occasions suit an award shaped like a sail?
The glass sail award suits regatta placings, project launches, service anniversaries and sales target celebrations. The forward lean of the shape reads as momentum, which fits a growth or launch story better than a square plaque. Yacht and rowing clubs choose it most often.
Are the chipped edges sharp to handle?
The glass sail award has a chipped rim that reads as texture rather than a blade, because the chipping is done and finished by hand. Handle it by the base when moving it, as with any glass piece. The polished face and straight left edge stay smooth throughout.
What drives the cost of ordering several of these?
The glass sail award is priced by quantity, the size of the etched area and the number of decorated positions. Artwork already set up from an earlier run removes a step the second time. Ask us for a written quote before fixing the count.
How long is production and how does it ship?
The glass sail award takes five working days of production from artwork approval, then transit. Each piece ships one to a carton with foam protecting the chipped rim. Tell us the awards night date and the run can be booked backwards from it.
