Description
The glass inukshuk pen set stands a frosted pale blue figure of stacked stones beside a gold pen in its holder, both mounted on a rectangular rosewood base with a dark engraving panel. Canadian employers, boards and long service programmes hand it over when a desk gift should carry meaning.
Retirement presentations, ten and twenty year service milestones, board thank yous and welcome gifts for a new executive all suit this piece, and it lives on a desk in daily use rather than behind glass. The inukshuk itself comes from an Inuit word meaning image of man's spirit, and the stacked stone figures were built along northern shores as markers that showed travellers the way, which is why the shape now reads as guidance and reliance on one another. That story is what a recipient repeats when someone asks about the figure on the desk. Deep etching on the base covers 1.5 by 0.5 inches and includes one colourfill, while a romance card explaining the symbol carries its own 1.75 by 1.75 inch imprint.
Buyers furnishing a whole office often pair it with the imprinted crystal groove bookends, which hold a shelf of manuals or annual reports and carry the same kind of etched panel. Both belong to the desk awards range, so a retirement package can put the figure on the desk and the bookends on the shelf behind it, and the two read as one gift rather than two.
Send a name and a date and a rep will come back with a written quote and an etch proof of the base plate, with production running five working days from the moment art is approved.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the glass inukshuk pen set made of?
The glass inukshuk pen set combines a frosted pale blue glass figure with a rosewood base and a gold pen and holder. The base carries a dark plate that takes the engraving. Nothing on the piece needs assembly once it arrives.
What does the inukshuk figure in the glass inukshuk pen set mean?
The glass inukshuk pen set takes its shape from an Inuit word meaning image of man's spirit. Stacked stone figures were raised along northern shores as markers that guided travellers. Today the form is read as a reminder that people depend on one another.
Where is the engraving placed on the glass inukshuk pen set?
The glass inukshuk pen set is deep etched on the base plate across an area of 1.5 by 0.5 inches, with one colourfill included. A romance card explaining the symbol takes a separate imprint of 1.75 by 1.75 inches. Short wording works better than a paragraph in a space that size.
Who usually receives a desk gift like this one?
The glass inukshuk pen set goes to retiring staff, long service recipients, departing board members and incoming executives. It suits Canadian organisations in particular, where the figure is familiar and the story does not need explaining. A welcome gift for a new hire is another common use.
Is the pen replaceable once the ink runs out?
The glass inukshuk pen set holds its gold pen in an upright holder, so the pen lifts out and returns without tools. A recipient can keep using the holder once the original refill is spent. The holder and the figure stay fixed to the rosewood base.
How long does production take on an engraved desk set?
The glass inukshuk pen set runs five working days in production after artwork approval, before transit. Two to three weeks of runway is comfortable for a retirement date. Tell the rep the presentation date when the order is placed.
What affects the price of a glass inukshuk pen set order?
The glass inukshuk pen set is quoted on quantity, on the artwork setup for a first run and on whether the romance card is imprinted as well. A file already on record keeps the preparation short. Ask a rep for a written quote covering both decorations.
