Description
The Glass Fish Award on Optical Base is a hand blown glass fish award. It sits on a clear optical base for personalization. Buyers choose from three sizes, 6 to 8.5 inches tall. Each piece is hand-crafted, so no two fish match exactly.
The fish shape captures movement, as if caught mid-swim. Hand blown glass appears in purple, clear or shades of blue, each catching light differently. The optical base sits below the fish like a lens. That clarity makes the etched name or logo easy to read. A larger fish suits a lobby or trophy case, while a smaller one fits a desk. A deep etch on the base adds a name, date or title. Buyers pick a size that fits the achievement, from a compact desk piece to a larger display award. Those who want a wall-mounted option instead might consider the Baltimore/Everett Plaque - Gold. See more of the glass awards collection for other hand blown pieces in similar tones.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a glass fish award and who typically buys it?
A glass fish award is a hand blown sculpture set on a clear optical base. It works as a general recognition award or a personal gift for an animal lover or angler. Each piece is individually made, so no two look exactly alike.
How does a glass fish award compare with a glass flame award?
A glass fish award uses an animal shape, while a flame-style award uses branching arms instead. Both are hand blown glass pieces finished with a deep etch imprint. Buyers pick the shape that matches the honoree's interests or the event theme.
What sizes are available for the Glass Fish Award on Optical Base?
The Glass Fish Award on Optical Base comes in three sizes, 6 to 8.5 inches tall. Because each piece is hand blown, exact measurements vary slightly from piece to piece. A 6 inch piece fits a desk, while an 8.5 inch piece suits a larger display area.
How does light behave on a hand blown glass fish award?
Light moves through the glass fish award and changes with the viewing angle. The optical base beneath the fish adds extra clarity and reflection. Available colors include blue, light blue, purple and clear glass.
What imprint options are available on the glass fish award base?
The glass fish award uses a deep etch imprint on its base. Imprint area size depends on which of the three award sizes you choose. It works well for a name, date or short message.
What is the minimum order for the Glass Fish Award on Optical Base?
The minimum order for the Glass Fish Award on Optical Base is one piece. That makes it easy to buy a single award for one honoree. Larger orders also work for team or department-wide recognition programs.
How long does production take for a glass fish award?
Production for the glass fish award takes five days regardless of size. That timeline is the same for all three available sizes. Contact us if your event date needs a faster turnaround.
What occasions or recognition programs suit a glass fish award?
The glass fish award suits general recognition ceremonies and personal gift-giving occasions. Its fish shape gives it particular appeal for nature or outdoor themed honors. Buyers choose a size that matches the scale of the honor.
What affects the price of a glass fish award?
Price for the glass fish award depends on size, imprint and order quantity. A larger 8.5 inch piece typically costs more than the 6 inch size. Contact us for a quote based on your size and quantity needs.
How should a glass fish award be cleaned and displayed?
Clean the glass fish award with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can dull the etched base over time. Display it away from table edges since the glass can chip if bumped.
