Genuine Granite Plaque with Attached Photo Plate

A granite plaque with a sublimated full color plate is a natural stone award board with a printed metal plate mounted to its face, where the artwork is heat set into the plate coating instead of cut into the surface. The stone serves as the backing and mount, and the plate carries the photo, logo, or citation text in full color. Recognition programs, dedications, and tribute displays use this format when the artwork contains color that a cut engraving cannot show.

Granite is denser and heavier than wood or acrylic, so a granite plaque sits flat on a desk or shelf and does not warp or dent the way a wood board can. Wood and metal plates take laser engraving in one tone, while a sublimated plate reproduces photographs and multi-color logos on the same panel. Acrylic transmits light and shows fingerprints, and granite reads as an opaque natural stone surface.

The granite plaque comes in four sizes: 6" x 8", 7" x 9", 8" x 10", and 9" x 12". Two stone colors are available, black and white. Viewing distance usually decides the size, with 6" x 8" reading well on a desk and 9" x 12" holding up on a lobby or hallway wall.

The plaque is cut from genuine granite, a natural marble and stone material, and the decorated element is a separate plate mounted to the front face. No ink or coating touches the stone, so the granite surface has nothing on it that can chip or peel. Both the black and the white versions are natural stone rather than painted or laminated board.

Yes, sublimation prints a photograph, a multi-color logo, and text together on a single plate, with no per-color limit and no separate screen for each color. Supply artwork as a vector file or a 300 dpi raster image scaled to the plate size so faces and small type stay readable. Sublimation is the only decoration method on this plaque, so engraving directly into the stone is not offered.

Granite plaques are ordered most often for employee-of-the-year banquets, sports league and booster club award nights, building dedications and groundbreakings, hospital and university donor recognition, first responder and military honors, and church tribute walls. The weight of the stone suits ceremonies where the piece is handed over on stage and then kept on permanent display. The 9" x 12" size is the usual pick for wall-mounted dedication and donor boards.

Production runs 5 working days from artwork approval. The clock starts when you sign off on the proof, not when the order is placed, so approving the proof the same day it arrives is the quickest way to shorten the total timeline. Transit time is added on top of production, so build in shipping days when you have a fixed event date.

Pricing on the granite plaque is quoted per order rather than posted as a single list price. Four things move the per-unit number: which of the four sizes you choose, how many units you order, the artwork setup for the sublimated plate, and the shipping method. Send us your size, quantity, and in-hands date and we will return a per-unit quote.

Wipe a granite plaque with a soft cloth, dry or lightly dampened with water, then dry the plate right away. Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powders, and acidic or bleach-based cleaners, which can etch natural stone and dull a printed surface. Keep the plaque out of direct sunlight and away from humid rooms to protect both the stone and the plate mounting.
