Description
A crystal flame award sets a 4.5 inch Starfire crystal flame, its tip curling to a point, at one end of a long horizontal base whose bevelled top carries a second etched panel. Fire departments, safety boards and volunteer coordinators hand it over when the recognition is about turning up for other people, year after year.
The whole piece measures 7 by 5 by 3 inches and weighs three quarters of a pound, small enough to post out to a home address and solid enough to survive the journey. Two decorating positions come as standard: a 2.5 by 3 inch area on the base itself, and an optional 2 by 3.5 inch panel on the back of the flame, which is where a citation or a date usually goes. The base can be clear or colored crystal, piano-finished bamboo, or stepped rosewood, so the same flame can look ceremonial or corporate depending on what sits under it. Every unit is packed one to a carton. Chambers of commerce, hospitals and service clubs order these in batches for annual nights.
Buyers who want the flame idea in something heavier and less transparent tend to look at the stonecast serpentine flame award, where the same gesture is rendered in cast stone rather than polished crystal. Both live in the flame awards group, which makes it straightforward to run crystal for the headline honor and the cast version across a larger group of recipients.
Send the wording for both etch positions along with a logo, and a written quote arrives with a proof of each panel, then five working days of production once the proof is approved.

Imprint area — will your logo fit?
Deep Etch · On BaseThe imprint area on this product is 2-1/2 inches wide by 3 inches tall (On Base), printed by deep etch. Your artwork prints inside the dashed area below — nothing outside it prints. Products often look larger in a photo than the space you can actually print on.

You order. Your card is authorised, not charged. Nothing is billed until you approve the proof, and you can change or cancel the order up to that point.
Free visual proof. We email a proof showing your logo on the product, usually within one business day. Revisions are unlimited and free. The production clock does not start until you say yes.
Production. Counted in business days from proof approval, not from the order. Weekends and US federal holidays are skipped. If your date is tight, tell us up front and we will work backwards from it.
Delivered. Enter a destination ZIP in the order card to get live carrier rates and a delivery date. We will not guess one.
Business days only, counted from proof approval. The clock starts when you say yes, not when you order. Weekends and US federal holidays are skipped.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is included with a crystal flame award?
A crystal flame award includes the Starfire crystal flame, the base it is mounted on, and two decorating positions. The base carries the main etch, and an optional panel on the back of the flame takes a second line. Both parts arrive assembled and ready to present.
How big is the crystal flame award overall?
The crystal flame award measures 7 by 5 by 3 inches overall, with the crystal flame itself standing 4.5 inches. Each unit weighs about 0.75 pounds and is packed one to a carton. That light weight makes it easy to post to a home address.
Which base options suit a crystal flame award?
A crystal flame award can sit on a clear or colored crystal base, a piano-finished bamboo base, or a stepped rosewood base. Crystal reads formal, bamboo reads current, and rosewood reads traditional. Color options on the crystal base include amber, black, blue, green, red and white.
Where do the two etch positions sit?
The crystal flame award carries a 2.5 by 3 inch etch on the base and an optional 2 by 3.5 inch panel on the back of the flame. Most buyers put the logo and the award title on the base and the recipient name above it. Both positions can be deep etched or printed in full color.
Who typically receives a flame trophy?
A crystal flame award usually goes to volunteers, first responders, fundraising leads and long-standing service members. Chambers of commerce, hospitals and service clubs order them in batches for annual nights. The flame shape reads as commitment rather than competition.
What affects the price when ordering several pieces?
A crystal flame award is priced on quantity, base choice, the number of etch positions used and artwork setup. A batch for one event lowers the per-piece figure against buying one. A written quote lists the flame, the base, the decoration and the freight.
How long does the order take from approval?
A crystal flame award takes five working days in production after artwork approval. Shipping is added on top of that and varies by address. Sending both etch texts at the same time avoids a second proof round.
