Description
The crystal bowl award is a rounded teardrop body of clear lead free crystalline, sliced across the top to leave a steeply angled oval opening. Service clubs, hospital boards and hospitality groups give it when a recipient should end up with something that lives on a table.
Retirement gifts, chairman thank yous, golf day prizes and client hospitality all suit a piece that works as a candy dish, a nut bowl or simply an object on a console table. Two sizes are made, one about 5 inches tall and one 9 inches tall, and the larger reads as a centrepiece while the smaller sits comfortably on a desk. The angled opening means the bowl shows its contents from a seated position rather than only from above. Deep etching goes on the back across 2 by 1.5 inches on the small size and 3 by 3 inches on the large, and each bowl weighs 0.92 pounds and ships one to a carton. A single piece can be ordered, which suits a one off prize.
Buyers deciding between a bowl and something upright often compare this with the bolton oval vase, which holds flowers rather than sweets and gives more surface for a longer citation. Both belong to the crystal vase and bowls range, so a club can present the bowl to a retiring treasurer and the vase to the outgoing president, and the two gifts still look related on the same shelf.
Send the wording over and a rep will return a written quote with an etch proof of the back panel, and production runs five working days from the day art is approved.

Frequently Asked Questions
What shape is the crystal bowl award?
The crystal bowl award is a rounded teardrop body with an oval opening cut across the top on a steep angle. It is polished clear throughout and sits on its own flat base. Nothing is added underneath as a separate stand.
Which sizes does the crystal bowl award come in?
The crystal bowl award is made in two sizes, one around 5 inches tall and one 9 inches tall. The larger reads as a centrepiece on a boardroom or dining table. The smaller suits a desk, a side table or a shelf.
Where is the engraving placed on the crystal bowl award?
The crystal bowl award is deep etched on the back, across 2 by 1.5 inches on the small size and 3 by 3 inches on the large. Placing the mark at the back keeps the front curve clear when the bowl is in use. A crest and a short line of type suit that space.
Can the bowl be used to serve food?
The crystal bowl award is shaped as a working dish and is commonly filled with sweets, nuts or paperclips on a desk. The angled opening makes the contents visible from a chair rather than only from overhead. Hand washing keeps the etched panel sharp.
Who tends to receive a bowl rather than a trophy?
The crystal bowl award goes to retiring officers, long serving volunteers, golf day winners and hospitality guests. A bowl gets used every day, which is why committees pick it over an upright trophy that needs shelf space. Client gifts are another regular use.
How long is production once artwork is approved?
The crystal bowl award takes five working days in production from artwork approval, with transit after that. Ordering two to three weeks ahead of a presentation is comfortable. Share the event date so the rep can check the schedule against it.
What affects the price of a crystal bowl award order?
The crystal bowl award is quoted on quantity, on which of the two sizes is chosen and on the artwork setup for a new mark. A stored file shortens the preparation on a repeat run. Ask a rep for a written quote showing both sizes.
