Description
These custom 1st place medals pair a stock gold front with a laser engraved back, so your winners get a finished award without a new die or a long wait. Made from zinc and measuring 2 inches across, they suit tournaments, school meets and club events that need a first place prize on short notice.
Hand out first place medals at youth tournaments and your winners take the stock front home that day, with your event name or logo on the back. Running a league season? Bulk orders of engraved 1st place medals are easy because the minimum is 20 and each medal arrives individually polybagged, so a coach can pull them from the box and hand them out without sorting. At an awards night, the brass colour reads as a real prize, and the 2 inch face is big enough to see from the third row. For a company sports day, your team gets a keepsake that fits easily in a swag bag. Because the front is already made, the only thing you decide is the back.
For the host or coach, pair these with the Marble with Cast Medallion so your table has a second kind of award beside the medals. The medallion suits the person who ran the event while the medal goes home with the athlete, so both ends of your awards table are covered. To match the rest of your prizes, browse more coins and medallions, or ask us about zinc place medals for your podium.
Send us your logo and event name, and we will email a free virtual proof of the laser engraved back along with your exact quote. Production is 7 business days after you approve the proof.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are custom 1st place medals and what does the front show?
The custom 1st place medals are zinc medals with a stock 1st place front and an engraved back. The front design is fixed, so you only choose the wording for the back.
What size is the 1st place medal and how big is the engraving area?
The 1st place medal measures 2 inches across from edge to edge. The engraved area on the back is the same 2 inches in diameter, so there is room for a short line or a small logo.
What is the 1st place medal made of and what color does it come in?
The 1st place medal is made from zinc and has a stock gold front. Brass is the only color option.
How do I customize custom 1st place medals with my own wording?
The custom 1st place medals are customized by engraving the back, which is the imprint method for this medal. The front keeps its stock design. Send us the text or logo you want on the back and the quantity you need.
What is the minimum order for custom 1st place medals?
The minimum order for custom 1st place medals is 20 medals. Each medal comes in its own polybag, so an order of 20 arrives as 20 separate bags.
How long does an order of 1st place medals take to produce?
The standard lead time for the 1st place medal is 7 business days. Give us your event date when you order so we can plan around it.
What affects the price of custom 1st place medals?
The price of custom 1st place medals depends on the quantity, the engraving, setup and any add-ons such as a ribbon. Standard pricing includes the blank medal, and an extra decal location on the back is charged separately.
Can the 1st place medal be ordered with a ribbon attached?
Yes, the 1st place medal can take a ribbon attachment in 1 1/2 inch or 7/8 inch widths. Ribbon is an add-on, so it is priced apart from the medal.
How much does a shipment of 1st place medals weigh?
A shipment of the 1st place medal is estimated at 28 pounds per 160 units, packed in a carton about 12 by 9 by 6 inches. Actual weights and carton sizes vary with the order.
