What metallic means in branding
Gold and silver: achievement, and the fastest way to look expensive. We stock 62 metallic shades across 2,528 products.
What metallic says about a brand
Metallics are read as achievement and value rather than as hues. Gold carries prestige, celebration and recognition; silver reads as modern, precise and technical. Both borrow their meaning from the materials they imitate, which is why they signal worth on a product far more efficiently than any color can.
Who uses metallic on branded merchandise
Metallics belong on recognition and milestone gifts: awards, service anniversaries, executive gifts, gala and holiday merchandise. A metallic imprint on an otherwise plain dark product is the standard, and cheapest, way to make a giveaway feel like a gift.

Printing on metallic
Metallic is a finish, not a color, so it behaves differently by process. Foil stamping and metallic thread hold their shine; a metallic screen-print ink is duller than the swatch suggests, and metallic in full-color process printing is not reproducible at all. Confirm the decoration method before promising a client gold.
Check your imprint against a specific shade in the contrast checker, or read the artwork guidelines for what a printer needs.
