Custom Award Clocks and Personalized Clock Awards

An award clock is a working desk, mantel or wall clock with a decorated panel or plate carrying a name, a logo or a short message. The clock body doubles as the award, so the recipient keeps a usable object rather than a plaque. Bodies on this page include optical crystal, rosewood, jade glass, black marble, aluminum, chrome and glass.

A clock award keeps a function after the ceremony, while a plaque only carries the inscription. That is why buyers pick a clock when they want the piece used rather than stored on a shelf. The Rosewood Plaque Clock With Starfire Crystal Plate does both, since it hangs like a plaque and keeps time.

Many desk clocks here stand between 5 and 7 inches tall. Smaller crystal blocks run near 3 inches, such as a 2.25 by 3.5 inch desk block, and the tall end includes a 6 by 10.5 inch fused crystal triangle and a rosewood plaque clock that reaches 9 by 12 inches.

Optical crystal is the most common body on this page, with rosewood second. The rest spreads across materials such as jade glass, aluminum, chrome, metal, glass and black marble. Crystal and jade take deep etching cleanly, aluminum and metal plates suit laser engraving, and marble carries veining that varies piece to piece.

Deep etch is the most widely offered method here, cutting the text into crystal, jade or marble. Laser engraving is used on pieces such as rosewood and aluminum bodies and metal plates, and several optical crystal clocks also accept a full color digital print. Panel sizes vary by piece, and the largest on the page is the 5 by 4 inch panel on the Rosewood Plaque Clock With Starfire Crystal Plate.

Most clocks on this page are quoted from a single unit, including the rosewood plaque clock and the Richelieu Mantle Clock. A smaller group starts at six units, and one aluminum desk clock with a photo frame starts at 24. Tell us the item and the count and we will confirm the exact minimum before you order.

Put the recipient name first, then the occasion or the milestone, then a short line naming the company or the department. Panel space is tight on many of these clocks, so keep the wording short. Placement varies by piece: several clocks engrave on the back plate, while the Cronus clock and the International Clock carry a plate below the dial. We send a visual proof of the layout before we decorate anything.

Some do. The arch glass desk clock, the rosewood and black glass arch clock and the self-standing black glass desk clock each include an AA battery, and the Grand Prix world time clock ships with three AAA batteries. The Cronus clock takes one AAA battery that is sold separately. Ask us about any other clock here and we will confirm before you order.

Most clocks here are produced in five working days, including the rosewood plaque clock and the jade glass clock with a beveled curved top. Eight of the clocks on this page run 5 to 7 business days, and four color process printing on the Cronus clock runs 7 to 10 business days. Shipping time is added on top of production.
