Custom retirement gifts are keepsakes that a company or team gives a retiring colleague to mark their career, and this page gathers retirement gifts for coworkers that can carry a name, a short message or your logo. The best ones are made to be kept: an engraved clock, a plaque, a crystal piece, a journal, a framed photo or a branded gift set.
Retirement gift ideas for coworkers
Clocks and plaques carry the farewell message. The jade glass clock measures 6.5 inches and has a deep etch area for a name or short message, and the Cornell rosewood and brass desk clock has a plate below the face for a personal note. The walnut wall plaque comes in four sizes with a laser engraved plate. See more clock awards and wood plaques.
Crystal and glass keepsakes sit on a shelf for years. The optical crystal clock has a gold toned skeleton movement and measures 4.5 by 5.75 inches, and the jade glass inukshuk award stands on a round green marble base. Browse crystal awards for more.
Gifts for the next chapter look ahead. The Castelli journal gift set arrives in a black gift box with a pen, the Halifax ebony picture frame comes in three sizes for 4 by 6, 5 by 7 and 8 by 10 photos, and the comfort kit packs a bathrobe, head wrap and slippers in a carry bag. A rosewood wine tool set comes in a satin-lined wooden box with a top plate for a short message.
How to choose a retirement gift
Start with the person. For retirement gifts for employees who served for many years and corporate retirement gifts in general, a clock, plaque or crystal keepsake feels right, and for someone planning travel, hobbies or time at home, a journal, a frame or a comfort set looks ahead. Teams can pool for one step-up piece and sign a card. Personalized retirement gifts need the right message length, so check the imprint area listed on each product page before you write the engraving, because longer messages need a larger plate. For gifts to the wider team, see custom corporate gifts, for service awards see employee recognition awards, and for milestones through the year see corporate employee gifts.
