Rubberwood, a light-colored hardwood, forms the handles on all four tools, and the bamboo box meets FDA requirements with a depth of about 1 1/2 inches. Laser engraving applies a tone-on-tone mark within a 3 inch by 3 inch area and will not oxidize over time, though small text is not recommended since bamboo color varies naturally between dye lots.
