Promotional Keychains with Your Logo

Promotional keychains carry your logo into a pocket a buyer opens every single day. This range holds more than 480 branded keychains in 13 styles, priced by the piece in bulk. Minimums start at 100 units on most lines. Pad printing, laser engraving, screen printing and full color digital printing are all available, and most orders finish production in seven business days.

Thirteen styles of promotional key chains

Each custom keychain style below is its own range with its own price band, material and imprint area. Start here if you already know the shape you want.

• More than 140 custom key tags and fobs, molded in soft PVC or stamped from metal. Flat faces give the largest imprint area per dollar in the whole range.
• 90 stress reliever keychains in molded polyurethane foam and silicone. A buyer squeezes one at a desk, so the logo gets handled daily rather than filed away.
• 56 bottle opener keychains in aluminum and stainless steel. The opener does a job a phone cannot, which is why the item stays on the ring.
• 56 carabiner keychains, from 6mm and 8mm split-ring clips up to zip wallets that hold a card and a key.
• 38 flashlight keychains with LED or COB emitters in ABS, aluminum and bamboo bodies.
• 15 plastic keychains molded in 2D and 3D soft PVC, from 1 inch to 4 inches wide. A custom outline needs a mold rather than a print plate.
• 13 engraved keychains in chrome plated metal, metal alloy, birch wood and diestruck soft enamel. Engraving cuts the mark into the surface instead of printing on top of it. Engraved styles also cover personalized keychains that carry one person's name rather than a company logo.
• 12 floating keychains in polyurethane foam and cork. Foam holds a key above water, which is why marinas, boat dealers and dive shops order them.
• 11 pocket knife keychains and 5-in-1 multi-tools in 420 stainless steel and aluminum.
• Seven leather keychains in leatherette and UltraHyde, several with a metal plate sized for an engraving.
• Six keychain lanyards and wristlets in polyester, neoprene and recycled ocean plastic.
• Five plush key chains in polyester fiber, 4 to 4.5 inches tall. Schools and mascot programs buy these.
• Four long coil keyrings in ABS and PVC that stretch onto a wrist, so a key stays on the body instead of in a pocket.

Imprint methods on branded keychains

The imprint method decides how many colors you get and how the mark ages. Four methods cover almost every item here.

• Pad printing appears on 193 products, more than any other method. A silicone pad presses ink onto curved and irregular faces, which is why molded foam and PVC shapes use it.
• Digital full color appears on 95 products and reproduces photographs, gradients and multi-color logos in one pass.
• Screen printing appears on 71 products and lays thicker ink on flat plastic. Each color needs its own screen, so artwork with fewer colors costs less to set up.
• Laser engraving appears on 66 products, all metal, steel or bamboo. The beam burns away the surface layer, so the mark cannot rub off with the keys.

Hot foil stamping, silkscreen and heat transfer cover smaller groups. Imprint colors are matched to the Pantone Matching System, and rush production is available on 32 items. Send vector artwork as an .ai, .eps or .pdf file with fonts outlined, or raster art at 300 DPI at the actual imprint size. The full artwork and proof guidelines list every requirement.

Quantities, budgets and lead times

Minimums cluster in three bands. The largest group of promotional keychains starts at 250 pieces, a second group starts at 100, and a third starts at 150. A handful open at 30 or 50 units for a buyer testing a design before a full run.

Wholesale keychains price on a quantity ladder, so ordering custom keychains in bulk drops the unit cost at every tier. The same key tag costs less each at 1,000 pieces than at 250. Setup charges are quoted per imprint method and per color, and some lines carry no setup charge at all.

Production runs from two to 28 business days depending on the item and the decoration, and most quotes land at seven business days or fewer. That clock starts when you approve the virtual proof in writing, not when you place the order.

Who orders promotional keyrings

Auto dealers hand a branded keyring over with the car keys, and it stays on that ring for the life of the vehicle. Real estate agents attach one to the keys at closing. Gyms, hotels and marinas print key tags for locker, room and rental keys, so the logo stays in service for years.

Trade show teams buy imprinted keychains as a giveaway because the item packs flat and survives the flight home. An advertising keychain attaches to keys a visitor already carries, so the impression repeats instead of ending in a drawer. Schools, fundraisers and sports clubs order plush and stress reliever shapes that match a mascot.
