What is a floating keychain and when is it useful?

A floating keychain is a foam tag attached to your keys so they stay at the surface if dropped in water. It is handy for boaters, kayakers, swimmers and anyone around docks or pools.

Which events and organizations use custom floating keychains?

Custom floating keychains suit marinas, boat shows, swim programs, CPR seminars, fishing tournaments and waterfront resorts. The imprint stays visible whether the keys are in a pocket or bobbing in the water.

How does a custom floating keychain compare with a standard metal keychain?

A custom floating keychain is made of foam and stays on top of the water, while a metal keychain sinks. The foam body is also light in a pocket and offers a large flat face for your logo.

Can I print on both sides of the custom floating keychain?

Yes, either side of the keychain can take your imprint, which is a screen printed area of 2 inches wide by 0.875 inch high. We send a free digital proof so you can confirm the placement.

What colors are available for printed floating keychains?

Printed floating keychains come in white, red, blue, black, gray, green, lime, yellow and orange. Bright shades like lime and orange are easy to spot on the water.

What is the minimum order for floating keychains with a logo?

The minimum order for floating keychains with a logo is 250 pieces. Quantity levels are 250, 500, 1000 and 2500.

What affects the price of custom floating keychains?

The price of custom floating keychains depends on the quantity tier, the foam color and the number of colors in your print. Ordering at a higher tier generally lowers the cost per keychain.

Will the floating keychain still float with a heavy set of keys?

A floating keychain stays afloat depending on how many keys are attached to the ring, so a few keys float well and a heavy bunch may pull the tag down. For crews that carry many keys, consider giving each person a separate tag for the water.

Oval foam body measures 3 inches by 1.5 inches by 3/4 inch — a pocketable tag with real thickness.
Moulded from thick pliable foam that does not sink in water — buoyancy is built into the body, though it varies with how many keys hang from it.
The colour range runs to nine: Black, Blue, Gray, Green, Lime, Orange, Red, White and Yellow — enough to code groups across a large handout.
A beaded chain is fitted ready to take keys — no split ring to add.
Either face can take the 2 by 0.875 inch imprint — a single printed side, whichever one is specified.
