Description
The upright of the Dawes is aquashaped from 3/8" starfire glass while the base is beveled 3/8" starfire with polished edges. The top margin of the Dawes is deeply incised to the contours of horizontally-arranged gears. The matching image of interlocking gears is etched on the back of the glass. The remaining surface provides ample space for additional artwork, especially where a horizontal format is optimal. An award that is particularly - and literally - geared to industrial, engineering and machinery enterprises and, metaphorically, to any organization wishing to celebrate teamwork and cooperation.

- The top margin is incised with a row of horizontally-arranged gears, mirrored by a matching etch on the back — the gear row spans the width of the piece instead of running down one side.
- Both the upright and base are beveled from 3/8" starfire glass with polished edges — the bevel work continues from the base up through the upright in one continuous line.
- At 9" x 8" overall, the back panel opens to 7" x 3" for etching — a wide horizontal panel suited to a name spanning a single line.
