Custom Shadow Box Awards for Ceremonies and Milestones
A shadow box holds an object, not just an inscription. That is the whole difference between this range and a flat plaque: the gold shovel that broke ground, the scissors that cut the ribbon, the gavel that closed the term, sits under glass in a recessed frame with an engraved plate beneath it. Eight of the ceremonial styles here share one footprint, 9" x 12" x 1-1/2", so a groundbreaking, a ribbon cutting and a retirement handed out by the same organization line up on a wall as a set.
What goes in the box
The ceremonial pieces are named for the object they hold. The Gold Shovel Shadow Box and the Gold Hard Hat Shadow Box are the groundbreaking pair, and the Gold Spike Shadow Box covers a rail or utility first-cut. The Shadow Box Scissor is the ribbon cutting. The Gold Gavel Shadow Box suits an outgoing chair or a judge, the Gold Hammer Shadow Box a trades or construction milestone, and the Key to the City Shadow Box a civic presentation. The Marine Swords Shadow Box is the service piece in the range.
The plate is the only thing engraved
The object arrives finished, so nothing is imprinted on it. Your wording goes on the plate below it, and the plate area is listed per style: 6" W x 1" H on the Gold Gavel, Gold Hammer and Gold Hard Hat boxes, 6" x 1" or 6" x 1-1/2" on the Gold Shovel and Gold Spike, and 4" W x 1" H on the Marine Swords. One line of text is the realistic limit at that height, so lead with the occasion and the date rather than a full citation.
Frames and cast-emblem styles
Three styles in this range are shadow box frames rather than keepsakes. The Barberton Shadow Box Frame, the Silver Shadow Box Frame with Ebony Spacer and the Shadow Box Metal Frame in Brushed Aluminum and Satin Pewter take a screen printed or laser engraved mark across a 3" x 1", 4" x 1" or 5" x 1" area and price as a run at 24, 72, 144 and 288 pieces with an $80 setup. A further group of cast-emblem shadow box awards is being prepared, with gold-plated and chrome-plated shovels, gavels, keys, rising stars, constellations and world globes in frames from 11.75" x 16.75" up to 17.75" x 16.75".
Ordering
The ceremonial boxes price from a single piece, at 1, 5, 10 and 25 on most styles and 1, 10, 15 and 25 on the Gold Spike and the Scissor, and they carry no setup charge, which is unusual in our award range and makes a one-off presentation piece genuinely economical. Send the wording and the ceremony date and we will proof the plate before anything is engraved.
Ask our team for a quote with your wording, your logo file, and the date you need the awards in hand.
