An IPX6 seal handles rain and splashing, so the speaker works on a job site or a patio without a cover. The battery charges in 2.5 hours and runs more than six hours at maximum volume, longer at ordinary listening levels. Bluetooth reaches 33 feet, and a built-in microphone lets the user answer a call without picking up the phone. Both a Micro USB cable and a 3.5 mm aux cable ship in the box, so the speaker still works with a laptop that has no Bluetooth.
