Frequently Asked Questions
What is a crystal house award and when is it presented?
A crystal house award is a clear optical crystal plaque cut in a Greek house shape with beveled edges. Organizations present it at employee recognition dinners, service anniversaries, academic ceremonies and retirement events. The deep etched back carries the recipient's name and message.
How does a crystal house award compare to a plastic or acrylic plaque?
A crystal house award in optical crystal is heavier and clearer than most plastic or acrylic, and the beveled edges catch light along the arch shape. The crystal house award stands 7.5" x 9.375", which gives it a presence on a shelf. Plastic plaques cost less but lack that weight and clarity.
How is a name or logo added to this crystal house award?
The crystal house award is decorated by deep etch on the back of the award, in an area of 3" x 5". Deep etching cuts the design into the crystal for a frosted look. We send a free digital proof before production so you can check the text and layout.
Can I order just one crystal house award?
Yes, a single crystal house award can be ordered, since the minimum order is 1. Quantity breaks start at 1 and continue at 4, 7, 13 and 25. That suits a single retirement gift as well as a batch for an annual awards night.
How long does it take to make a custom crystal house award?
A custom crystal house award takes 5 working days to produce from artwork approval. Shipping time is added after that, so allow extra days if you have an event date. Contact us with your deadline and we will advise on timing.
What affects the price of a custom crystal award?
The price of a custom crystal house award depends on the quantity tier, the amount of etched text or artwork and any setup for a logo. Ordering at a higher quantity break lowers the cost of each award. Send us your wording and quantity and we will confirm the total.
How does the crystal house award arrive for presentation?
Each crystal house award is packaged in a Carrington Box, so it arrives ready to present. The box protects the crystal in transit and works for a stage handover. Keep the box if you need to store the award until the ceremony.
Is the crystal house award available in other colors?
No, the crystal house award is offered in clear only. The clear optical crystal lets the etched back show a frosted design against a bright body. Light and a plain backdrop help the etching stand out.
