Engraving reveals the material beneath the surface rather than adding a color: silver-toned on coated stainless steel, lighter burn tones on wood and bamboo, frosted white on glass, and a contrasting core color on leatherette. No — traditional laser engraving is monochrome by nature, revealing the material beneath the surface. Yes — completely. The mark is physically cut into the material, so it cannot wash off, scratch off, or fade. For drinkware that goes through daily use and the occasional dishwasher cycle, engraving is the most durable decoration method available.
