What is a crystal paperweight and how is it displayed?

A crystal paperweight of this type is a flat glass rectangle that stands upright on a desk like a small plaque. The piece needs no stand or easel, because the base edge is cut flat and the body is 0.75 inches thick. Companies use them for service awards, sales recognition and client thank you gifts.

What sizes and thickness does the crystal paperweight come in?

The crystal paperweight comes in four sizes: 3 x 2.5 inches, 4 x 3 inches, 5 x 3.5 inches and 6 x 4 inches. Every size is cut 0.75 inches thick, so the smallest piece still stands without tipping. Each one weighs about 0.5 pounds and ships one per box.

How is a logo etched onto a crystal paperweight?

A logo goes onto the crystal paperweight by deep etch on the back, so the mark reads through the front face. Etch areas run from 2 by 1.5 inches on the smallest size up to 5 by 3 inches on the largest. Full color printing is available as a second option. Vector artwork gives the cleanest result either way.

Which colors are available in starfire and jade glass?

This crystal paperweight comes in starfire, jade, gold, emerald, black, blue and red glass. Starfire runs almost water clear, while jade carries the soft green cast that gives the material its name. All seven colors take the same deep etch on the back.

What is the difference between jade glass and clear crystal?

A jade glass paperweight carries a green tint through the body, while the starfire crystal version reads almost colorless. Etching shows up frosted white on both, but the contrast is stronger on the darker colors. Jade suits brands with a green or earth tone palette.

How long does production take and what is the minimum order?

Production on an engraved crystal paperweight runs 5 working days from artwork approval. The minimum order is one piece, so a single farewell gift is a valid order. Transit time is added after production finishes.

How should an etched glass award be cleaned at a desk?

An etched crystal paperweight cleans with a soft cloth and a household glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth. Wiping the front face weekly keeps dust out of the etched lines that read through it. Keep abrasive pads away from the polished edges, since they leave fine scratches.

What affects the price of a custom crystal paperweight?

Price on a custom crystal paperweight follows the size, the glass color, the decoration method and the order quantity. A small starfire piece with a single deep etch sits at the lower end, and a large full color printed piece at the higher end. Send a size and quantity through the quote form for an exact number.

Description

The crystal paperweight stands upright on its own base like a small plaque, so the etched name faces the room instead of lying flat where nobody reads it. Cut 0.75 inches thick in starfire or jade glass, it gives HR and sales teams a recognition piece that fits on a working desk.

At a quarterly awards meeting, deep etching cuts the name and date into the back of the glass, and the mark reads through the front so nothing sits on the display face to scratch. Starfire glass runs almost water clear, while jade carries a soft green edge that photographs well when your team posts the presentation. Four sizes let one program cover a peer nominated award at 3 inches and a president's award at 6 inches without changing the design. Client gift programs choose the smaller sizes because a 0.5 pound piece mails without a heavy box. Nonprofits hand the jade version to board members at the annual meeting. Seven colors mean your brand palette drives the choice rather than a stock clear blank.

Set it beside the city skyline award with the skyline cut into the glass edge when a regional office wants its own landmark on the trophy shelf, since both use the same upright glass format and the same etch method. For teams that want a flat desk piece instead, the custom paperweight range covers stars, globes and blocks that hold paper down. Both share the same 5 working day production window.

Send your artwork and color choice through the quote form, then approve the etched layout on a proof. Production runs 5 working days from approval, and a single piece counts as a full order.
