Custom writing pads are built around the paper pad: a cover, the pad itself and often a pen loop, sized to hand out at a conference or set at every seat before a board meeting. They sit under Portfolios and Padfolios, and they are the simplest way to put a logo in front of someone who is about to take notes.
Senior and junior sizes
Two sizes cover most orders. Senior size holds a letter pad and measures 8-1/2"(W) X 11-3/4"(H) on the Distinctive Senior Size Writing Pad. Junior size is roughly half that footprint at 5"(W) X 8"(H) and fits a jacket pocket or a small tote. The leather and synthetic covers run a little larger again, and the Manhattan Writing Pad with FSC® Mix Paper is genuine pebble grain leather measuring 13.00H x 10.25W x 1.00D. If the pad is going into a conference bag, the Puffer Jr. Writing Pad with FSC® Recycled Paper is a compact 8.74 H X 6.77 W X 0.82 D in 300d rPET.
Cover materials
Cover material is where the budget goes. Genuine pebble grain leather, Italian style leather and plain leather sit at the top. Synthetics such as UltraHyde, Italian UltraHyde, DuraHyde and pebble grain Ultrabond look similar and wear well. Fabric covers include 300d rPET, 600d PolyCanvas, polyester and scuba. Eleven pads carry an eco friendly tag and nine use FSC certified paper. Four are tagged made in USA, and six are refillable, which matters if the pad is a desk fixture rather than a giveaway.
Features worth paying for
Beyond the cover, two features change how the pad gets used. A pen loop keeps the pen with the pad, as on the Rollick Scuba Writing Pad with Pen Loop. Built-in charging turns the pad into a desk item: the Vienna Wireless Charging Writing Pad with FSC® Mix Paper is Italian UltraHyde at 12.59H x 10.00W x 1.20D and carries a wireless charging tag. There is also a light-up option in acrylic and ABS. For zippered covers and full organizers, see Portfolios.
