Custom ceramic mugs are logo-printed mugs made of ceramic, stoneware or porcelain, ordered in bulk by companies and organizations. This page is sorted for buyers who care about the material and the glaze. If you are shopping by use instead, our coffee mugs page is organized around everyday office and gift mugs, and the custom mugs page covers every mug family.
Ceramic, stoneware and porcelain
Each material has its own look and weight. The Hertford Porcelain Mug - 12oz is porcelain, the 11 oz Microwave-Safe Stoneware Coffee Mug, FDA Compliant is stoneware, and the 11 oz Coffee Mug in Ceramic with Two Tone Interior is glazed ceramic with a contrasting inside. For finish, compare the 16oz Mug with a Reactive Glaze Finish, the 11 oz Ceramic Mug with Matte Finish Color Interior and the 12 oz Coffee Mug in Handcrafted Stoneware with 4 Colors, where no two mugs look exactly alike.
Care and everyday use
Care instructions vary by mug, so check before you tell recipients what their mug can handle. The 19oz Leak-Proof Ceramic Mug, Microwave and Dishwasher Safe is listed as both, and the 13 oz Speckled Coffee Mug with Two Tone Glaze is listed as top rack dishwasher safe and microwave safe. Do not assume from the style: the 15 oz Ceramic Mug with Wooden Lid and Coaster is microwave safe and top rack dishwasher safe, while the Balsamo 12 oz Cork-Base Ceramic Mug with Sliding Lid is hand wash only and not for the microwave or freezer.
Logo decoration
One- or two-color logos are usually screen printed. Deep etching is offered on the 10oz Speckled Granite-Look Ceramic Mug, laser engraving on the 13 oz Speckled Coffee Mug with Two Tone Glaze, and dye sublimation gives full color results, as on the American-Made Ceramic Coffee Mug, 11oz. Imprint areas differ from mug to mug, so check the product page before you send artwork.
